Bec Sichter is a paediatrician, neonatologist and mum of two living on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. Through years of caring for babies and supporting families, she has developed a deep understanding of the emotional journey that surrounds premature birth. That experience, combined with motherhood, shapes the heart of her storytelling. 

Our Early Baby’s Magical Garden is her debut picture book. Inspired by the strength of babies born early and the love of the families waiting for them to come home, the story was written to gently support siblings navigating a NICU journey. Bec hopes her words offer comfort, connection and reassurance to little hearts during a time that can feel confusing and overwhelming. 

When she is not caring for tiny patients or writing, Bec enjoys long beach days with her children, a quiet morning coffee, and getting lost in the pages of a beautifully illustrated book.
